Our family stayed five nights at the two-bedroom self-contained cabin Townsend for our ski trip. The location is very convenient to Selwyn, only 25 minutes. Our cabin was clean, nicely warm with heaters and electric blankets on all beds with clean linens. The gas stove and a large electric fry pan made our cooking quick and easy. The view over looking the dried lake was beautiful. Michele really made us welcome. We would love to come back!
Lovely place with everything that we needed. We really liked the communal areas to hang out and cook, eat, read and talk to people. Michelle at reception, and all over the lodge, was super helpful and friendly. Thanks for everything.
We had three nights in the Everest cabin and cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything we needed was there and more. The cabin was clean, the beds super comfortable and the heating worked perfectly. Nothing to do but relax and enjoy the picturesque view. We would return there in a heartbeat.
Stayed for one night at the beginning of my hubbies bike ride from Canberra to Darwin. We had booked a Dbl ensuite room but ended up being accommodated in a large cabin (?) overlooking the lake. Very peaceful and so much wildlife.
We only overnighted here, unfortunately. The Lodge is beautifully situated. It has good facilities, nice kitchen, comfortable lounge and well equiped games/tv room Clean room, comfortable bed. Great for winter and summer. Michelle was very welcoming.
A great escape
Our family enjoyed a wonderful 2 days at Cool Mountain Lodge and it was so relaxing. The views of the lake are magical and ever changing so sitting in comfy couches, sipping a wine and taking in the views was definitely no hardship. Our hosts, Farley and Michelle, really made us feel welcome and were very generous with gifts of chocolate and wine. The rooms are comfy and clean. We will definitely be back!
